The paper presents the Design concept of the Treska Cascade Control Center for monitoring and control of Hydro power plants in series: HPP Kozjak, HPP Sv. Petka and HPP Matka on River Treska. Since the Hydro cascade is unique and very difficult for control and water operation co-ordination, an optimization model with database and operational constraints is developed.
