Abstract

Reducing energy consumption is a big issue for many electronic products. We study about early phase activity for the development of low energy consumption product. This paper proposes a requirement analysis method. One specific feature of our method is to prevent degradation of user satisfaction in addition to reduce power consumption. Another feature is to give consideration to development cost. This paper also shows the result of a case study in which the proposed method is applied to confirm its potential. From the case study, we confirmed the effectiveness of our method to reduce power consumption without degrading user satisfaction.
