Abstract

The excitation of brake judder is caused by BTV(Brake Torque Variation) which result from DTV(Disc Thickness Variation) of disc brake. Also, transfer mechanism of judder response depends not only on the bushing isolation but also on the modal characteristics of the suspension system. In this paper, judder simulation is carried out using multi-body dynamic analysis program to analyze the relation of the judder and transfer mechanism which is composed of the suspension and steering system. Non-linear and frequency dependent characteristics of rubber bushing which is validated by experimental data is applied to dynamic full vehicle model.
