CO2 reduction, model predictive control, oxy-fuel combustion, power plant
Oxy-fuel combustion combined with flue-gas recirculation is a viable solution to the CO2-reduction problem associated with coal-fired power plants. In the present study, multi-linear model predictive control (MPC) of an oxy-fuel combustion system was developed. Computer simulations of system operation showed an acceptable MPC performance.
