In this paper we examine the problem of computing a compact localization domain which contains all compact invariant sets of one sixdimensional system describing the dynamics of low frequency, long wavelength electromagnetic field in a non-uniform magnetized plasma. Using the extremal-based approach elaborated by the first author in his previous papers we derive formulas for the localization domain by using several quadratic and rational localizing functions. Further, we show how to refine this localization by removing some pieces from the localization domain. Results of numerical simulation illustrating the localization domain for the chaotic attractor are provided.
