Abstract

In this paper, an immune model of interactions between innate and adaptive immune systems is found. The proposed model is used to design a general structure for a new immune controller called the Innate Adaptive Immunity Controller (IAIC). By proposing simple reaction functions for this IAIC, a simple IAIC (SIAIC) is designed. SIAIC is tested at different set points, and its performance is compared to an ordinary PID controller. The simulation results show that IAIC can be used to design a stable controller. Despite the very simple assumptions used to design the SIAIC, the new immune controller shows a good performance.
