A non-rigid body registration algorithm was proposed by Kovalev and Petrou [1] where the image grid was deformed by localised deformation operators in order to optimise a global cost function. In this paper, we propose to implement this non-rigid body registration over a multiresolution pyramid in order to obtain large-scale deformations at the coarse levels and fine-detail deformations at the finer levels, resulting in faster convergence.
