Abstract

In modern power systems, the increased number of distributed power supplies and the diffusion of limited power area make the reliability of the distribution networks and quality of the supplied energy more and more mandatory requirements. The paper describes methods and techniques that can be profitably used in active and proactive dynamic reconfigurations of power systems. Such approaches are already successfully applied in isolated distributed power architectures with limited power capability. Examples of application and case studies are reported.
