Abstract

The study was done at Jalan Universiti, University Teknology Malaysia. Jalan Universiti is a major roadway that connects University to Taman Universiti. Traffic queues onto the roadway are a common occurrence during these peak-hour periods, as it is expected to be too narrow to allow traffic to flow freely over it. This study only involves traffic count method to get the data from both roundabout and crossroad. The data from the site were then analyzed using manual calculation and computer programs. As a result, roundabout has been identified to carry more capacity compared to crossroad. There was also less vehicle queuing at roundabout compared to crossroad.
