Abstract

Crisis leadership is critical but fewer studied. In this literature review, we review the past related research and regard it as a prologue for the future. We do conceptual development and give out six elements: establishing confidence and trust, building crisis management team, fast responding and decision-making, efficient and effective communication, taking risk and responsibility, caring and inspiring subordinates. The conceptualization and elements exploring of crisis leadership is the main contribution of the paper. Finally, we discuss the further research, including measurement, antecedents and outcomes.
