Abstract

A soft-switching single-phase power-factor-correction topology without auxiliary switch is proposed in the paper. The operating principle of the circuit is analyzed in discontinuous-conduction-mode. All the switching devices are able to turn on or off in zero-voltage transition(ZVT) or zero-current-transition(ZCT). This rectifier is controlled by one-cycle. Simulation and experiment results verify that soft-switching can be realized in whole input voltage range and has no relations with the load. Unity power factor can be attained.
