Abstract

This paper analyzes the evaluation of the operation state of the overhead power transmission lines based on Monte Carlo method. It sets up the math model of N-1 fault selecting randomly by using Monte Carlo method. It collects the fault branch randomly, meets the requirement that the active power loss is minimum, carries reactive power optimization, and works out the line voltage stability indexes LSI. It analyses the influence of power loss, voltage instability and voltage limit violation on power system. Taking the New England 10- generator 39 bus system as an illustration, it reveals that the proposed method is more flexible and more reasonable than traditional methods.
