With the increasing requirement of reliability in the power system, the method to fault location without power-cut has been a research focus. In this paper, zero-sequence current has been analyzed when single line-to-ground fault occurs. The zero-sequence component of load currents in the secondary side is studied to evaluate its effect on the measurement of zero-sequence current. After this, the fault-location method based on the zero-sequence current is presented and its credibility curves are given.
