Optical Networks, Lightpath Concentrator, Network Interfaces, Non-blocking
A design of a nonblocking, all-optical lightpath concentra tor using wavelength exchanging optical crossbars and and WDM crossbar switches is presented. The proposed con centrator is highly scalable, cost-efficient, and can switch signals in both space and wavelength domains without re quiring a separate wavelength conversion stage.
