Abstract

This paper shows a new approach to presentation systems based on the technology of integrated virtual reality. Here we discuss some problems in designing interactive presentation systems. We present research results on a special database structure that takes into account the system multifunctionality, on methods of extracting the lecturer’s image from one-color and arbitrary background, on the interactive control of the objects of virtual environment, on tracking the lecturer’s gestures without using special sensors, on real-time video and 3D synchronization techniques.
