The purpose of this work is development of abandoned objects detection algorithm. Development of such detector is important for public safety in places of retail trade, airports, underground passages, stations, passenger depots, foyer of buildings. The new algorithm of detection of abandoned objects, serviceable on greyscale images is offered, at temporal overlapping the abandoned object and having low-level computing complexity.
