The nonlinear hierarchical approximation method for solution to the multivariate indirect measurements task is considered in the work. This method is based on hierarchical approximation of direct and inverse functions which relate measured values with required parameters of investigated objects. Particularity of the described task is that a type of functions is unknown in advance and is determined by a set of values specified by a "teaching" finite set of arguments. The comparison of efficiency of the described approximation methods with this task "neural network" solution is presented.
