The paper proposes an approach to the co-ordination of solutions to the pattern recognition problem given by different experts. Such concepts as ”an expert statement,” ”a distance between statements,” ”co-ordination of state ments”, ”discrepancy of the set of expert statements” are defined. The formal statement of the problem of expert statements’ co-ordination is given. The solution method based on a genetic algorithm is considered.
