In this paper, we present three techniques that provide spa tial diversity to a Differential Chaos Shift Keying (DCSK) chaotic transceiver. The system transmits and receives chaos-based modulated signals through multiple antennas. We show that Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems greatly improve the BER performance of chaotic communications over the Rayleigh channel, achieving for M = 2 antennas a gain of up to 8 dB.The spectral effi ciency is analyzed as well in terms of users, spreading gain and signal-to-noise ratio.
