Abstract

This paper presents a modelling approach for fast computation of the steady-state of electrical networks based on Component Connection Model (CCM). A salient feature of the proposed model is that it separates the information related to an electrical network in information about components and information about connections. This characteristic allows for easily including nonlinear components and changing the values of time-varying components. The circuit steady state is solved in the time domain by using an acceleration technique based on Poincaré Maps and extrapolation to the Limit Cycle that uses the CCM to represent the circuit. The presented application examples show a better performance than other system models.
