Data Modelling, Traffic State Identification, Three Dimensional Model of Traffic Flow, Probability Model
The characteristic of the real-time traffic status in road network is an important foundation for traffic organization and management. In this paper, a three variable probability model was developed to identify the real-time traffic status. With the three-dimensional relationship of flow, speed and occupancy, a complete three-dimensional traffic model was shown. Then we use probability method to determine the state of the data collected. The method is easy to understand and only a few calculations were needed. It helps to identify the real time traffic status conveniently.
