Abstract

A new Generalized Sidelobe Cancelling algorithm is presented for speech enhancement. The proposed algorithm uses Multi-channel Crosstalk Resistant Adaptive Signal Cancellation technique to efficiently cancel the desired signal in the blocking path of the GSC system. Experimental results verify the virtue of introducing the MCRASC in estimating the noise and blocking the speech signal from the blocking path. The proposed algorithm achieves noticeable SNR improvement over the conventional and modified GSC algorithms when tested on the same noisy speech. Different kinds of noises to obscure the desired speech signal are used in the performance evaluation of the proposed algorithm.
