Abstract

Informal and formal learning in university education together constitute important parts in student learning. This paper explores their integration with the latest development in web technology. To supplement the online courses that have been widely used already, we propose to adapt the Web 2.0 technology into informal learning using the Connectivism theory. It is argued that informal learning is as important as formal learning and Web 2.0 is helpful to foster an enabling total learning environment.
