Abstract

Overdriving technique has been used in LCD to reduce 0the drawback of motion blur. This technique requires an external SDRAM to store the compressed previous frame data. However, the conventional method for 8-bit HD is not suitable for 10-bit Full HD because of the amount of compressed bitstream data. In this paper, we propose an advanced image-coding scheme based on the segmentation method and AM-BTC for 10-bit Full HD. Experimental results show that the performance of the proposed method is better than that of the conventional AM-BTC method when applying it to Full HD images.
