Abstract

Excessive level of vibrations can be harmful for rotational machines and become often a source of various failures of machines. Knowledge of blade frequency properties is fundamental for suitable operational state selection. In this article a new approach to evaluation of blade properties from measured vibration signals is introduced. Results of the signal processing algorithm are shown on the signals from recently invented new type of blade with length of 1220 mm. This blade has mechanical locking devices, which change the vibration properties under relevant rotation conditions. This article deals with evaluating of two blade characteristics, blade mode shapes and blade locking.
