Abstract

Case Based Reasoning (CBR) is an active research area and a well established method for developing decision support systems in the medical domain. CBR systems retrieve and reuse solutions from previously solved problems to solve new problems. This paper summarizes CBR applications for diagnosis and planning in the medical domain over the last five years, reviewing their retrieval, matching, and adaptation processes in particular.
