A New Dimension for SCORM Compliant Online Courses

This paper presents an intelligent animated dialogue system, whose aim is to facilitate impatient students in an online learning setting. How to engage online students is one of key factors for creating effective and successful online courses. In addition to the traditional ways, such as discussion board, this paper proposes a new dimension for online courses. Authors intent to create an intelligent animated Bot system that utilizes SCO M compliant course contents in most of today’s Learning Management Systems, and present these contents in both text and voice in a question and answer format to trigger student’s motivation and support these shy and intolerant students.
