Abstract

In this paper, we propose a movement aware VANET routing protocol MAAODV. MAAODV is a distributed reinforcement learning routing protocol, which acquires the relative movement information using the node position and uses Q-Learning algorithm to infer network state information based on relative movement. MAAODV is favored by its movement aware feature and preemptive route change mechanism and therefore is robust to network dynamics. We show the performance analysis of MAAODV by simulation and give the simulation results demonstrating effectiveness of MAAODV.
