SANs, simulations, performance, fault-tolerant
Performance evaluations of parallel and distributed systems are complex due to the properties of concurrency, fault tolerance and degradability. Stochastic Activity Networks (SANs) provide a powerful modeling environment, which makes evaluation of such systems a fairly straightforward process. This motivates the use of modeling techniques for Performance evaluation. In this paper, we study the performance evaluation of such complex systems, using SANs models. The simulation models and results are presented and discussed here.
