Vaccine Driven Immune Algorithm with Two-Level Hierarchical Affinity

Abstract

This paper discusses the new immune algorithm which introduces two operations, and their characteristics are as follows. Two-level hierarchical affinity calculation which consists of fine grain and coarse grain is newly introduced to improve the ability of diversification. The proposed algorithm switches the fine grain and coarse grain affinity calculation according to generation. Moreover, the administration of vaccine which utilizes the partial optimum solution is proposed to improve the ability of intensification. These operations enable to control intensification and diversification effectively. Furthermore, experiments proved the validity of these operations.
