Fuzzy reasoning, fuzzy rule matrix, Fault diagnosis, SCADA systems
This study presents an efficient fuzzy reasoning approach based on fuzzy rule matrix for fault diagnosis in power transmission networks. In the inference procedures, the causalities of fault sections and actions of protective devices are first represented by a fuzzy rule matrix. After performing some simple matrix operations, the possible fault sections can be estimated. When tested on a typical power transmission system, the proposed approach showed some clear advantages over traditional approaches.
