Forecasting is crucial for controlling the processes in electric power engineering. The issue becomes even more important recently, as the development planning is decomposed into domestic and regional planning. In the paper, up-to-date achievements in load variation forecast in the Polish Power System in the conditions of energy market transformation are described.
