Abstract

The main issue of designing a leisure educational activity is to ensure that students are learning without decreasing the enjoyment. This paper built a context-aware learning system for leisure activities on mobile devices. The contextual learning activities will be triggered by student’s approaching to the specific scenes. Meanwhile, the learning portfolios and journey routes could be recorded for teachers to monitor students’ learning performance. With the support of wireless and 3G communication technologies, students could have a real-time interaction between peers and teachers to acquire the information for learning. The result of the experiments reflects that students were learning without decreasing the leisure enjoyment, and teachers could discover the relationships between students’ learning performance and the journey features.
