Navigation System, Zoo, Design of Contents Structure,GPS Cellular Phone
This paper describes a navigation system in a zoo using cellular phones with GPS and its extension to use the sys tem for providing the information or quizzes to general vis itors. In order to evaluate the system, we developed the contents for general visitors and conducted the public ex periment in Kyoto Municipal Zoo. The evaluation results through a questionnaire suggested that the system is good for the visitors’ interests, attitude, and motivation while ob serving in a zoo.
