Abstract

This paper deals with a monitoring strategy for a hydraulic process of an oilfield drilling system. The purpose is to develop a model based Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI) method. Indeed, using experimental data obtained during field tests as well as achieved model we propose to generate residuals that indicate if the system is in a faulty case. Here, faults that we attempt to detect are plugging in the hydraulic process. The advantages of the proposed approach in terms of plugging detection and localization are highlighted through experimental data obtained from tests campaign.
