Abstract

Nucleotide genomic signal (NSG) analysis allows the study of pathogen variability and the monitoring of the development of pathogen resistance to treatment. Mutations in well defined loci can consistently be linked to pathogen resistance to antiretroviral drugs. The paper illustrates the method with results in the study of HIV Protease (PR) and Reverse Transcriptase (RT) gene variability.
