The paper describes a modular approach to design and implement a simulator for affective computing. The major goal of the work is to facilitate multi disciplinary efforts in affective computing research. By developing different simulating modules, addressing different problems that can independently be refined, the MACS simulator improves and optimizes the collaborative work on one hand and provide means for more efficient deployment of real systems, on another. The use of the MACS simulator is seen in domains of affective computing research especially for analyses and evaluation of different psycho-physiological parameters and in practical domain for software prototyping and application scenarios probing and evaluation.
