Abstract

This paper presents a method to simulate human walking on the basis of the properties of human class for individuals. The locomotion is performed in the same way amongst all human beings. However, its pattern should be different among individuals according to their own properties. To identify individual’s unique pattern of the locomotion, we analyse the human properties, and modulate the locomotion to be qualified with respect to the properties, not only overall characteristics, but also individual characteristics. The locomotion is modelled by the concatenation of the associated primitive actions. The primitive action is the primary moving phase of a human action, and modelled in terms of constraints of body joints. The concatenation and constraints characterise a unique pattern of human walk.
