Abstract

Wind power plants belong to the category of renewable sources that do not burden the environment and do not need any fuel to be operated. However, wind is very variable and wind power plants are not thus suitable for satisfying demand following from the basic load diagram. Under conditions of the Czech Republic, it can be expected that also in the future, they will form rather a subsidiary source of electrical energy. For the analysis of reliability, a power plant operating under extreme conditions in the Jeseniky Mountains was selected.
