Goals Driven Interaction is an interaction style specially conceived for occasional users, i.e., those who are going to use an interactive application either only on one off or sporadic occasions, as use to be the case of Web application users. The goal for this type of interaction is for these users to be able to use the application correctly and to carry out the desired tasks with the minimum time necessary to be spent on learning. In this paper we describe the aforementioned interaction style and its corresponding user interfaces, and analyze how it may be used in Web applications.
