Abstract

View and schema integration have been a research topic for approximately three decades now. Several integration approaches were developed over the time for dynamic modeling (e.g. integration of state charts, business process models, enterprise models etc.). The integration strategies of these approaches are based on language specific features of a certain modeling language. But what happens if the source schemata are available in different languages? In this paper we research if there are some language independent integration guidelines for behavior modeling. In other words which approaches have been proved to be successful in the past which can be applied on all modeling languages dealing with behavior modeling? Thus our approach will be a first step towards an integration strategy for dynamic schemata independent of modeling languages.
