Abstract

This paper considers the problem of stabilizing of unstable dead time processes using D-partition technique. This technique is suitable to find the maximum stability domain in the 3D domain of a PID controller parameters, k , k , kR I D. In this paper analytical expressions are derived in order to describe both stability domain boundaries but moreover to investigate the effect of time delay on the stabilizability of the process. Illustrative examples are detailed by simulation over Mathematica software.
