Computational Intelligence techniques are increasing its role in the solution of biological problems. In this way, the present study use a Genetic Algorithm (GA) in the search for high level IF-THEN rules. This GA was applied to miner classification rules from a gene expression database named NCI60. This database was developed using cancer cells measured by microarray. The goal of this mining is to discover relations between the gene expression levels and nine types of cancer classes.
