Abstract

In the last few years, there has been a significant amount of innovation and advancement to enrich the user experience and interactivity for Web-based applications. Most of the major development fits well into several existing architecture models. In this article, we will present an update of these models and how they address some of the key challenges in delivering rich Internet applications. The enhanced models will provide an important architecture framework for the development of highly interactive feature-rich Web-based applications. Results from other studies of current prevalent products and technologies are consistent with our analysis at the architecture level.
