Abstract

We propose a real-time static voltage scaling (RT-SVS) technique called T-L plane transforming, which is an ex tension of LLREF, an optimal real-time scheduling algo rithm for multiprocessor systems. We present two RT-SVS algorithms for different types of systems. The technique is theoretically optimal for the systems which can change the frequency of each processor separately. Evaluation re sults show that the technique successfully schedules peri odic tasks and saves energy in the utilization where tradi tional algorithms can not guarantee the schedulability.
