Policy Management System; Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); Telecom Operation Support System
Nowadays，telecom service providers are integrating their large scale distributed operation support systems using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Managing the sophisticated business rules effectively by the policy-based management technology can greatly improve the flexibility and stability of SOA-based systems; meanwhile, it can improve the automation of operation management. In this paper, we proposed a telecom operations-oriented policy management system named TOOPM which is based on SOA and policy management. We first analyze the advantages of the TOOPM which brings forward SOA to traditional telecom management system. Next we introduce the core components in TOOPM system. Finally we show a policy-based fault handling process applying the TOOPM system.
