Abstract

In this paper, we propose a global motion compensation based de-interlacing algorithm using adaptive integral pro jection. The proposed algorithm first divides an entire im age into global motion region and non-global motion re gion according to the temporally predicted region type. Then, dominant motion of the global motion region is found by adaptive integral projection approach. The adap tive integral projection method ensures consistent global motion estimation with low computational cost. Experi mental results show that the proposed de-interlacing algo rithm provides better image quality than the conventional algorithms in both subjective and objective measures.
