Abstract

There is no standardized solution to implement Internationalized Domain Name Systems (IDNS). Nowadays non-English Websites are being used without proper standardization, for example Chinese, Japanese & Korean (CJK), Arabic, French, German, Hindi and others are using their different solutions to implement Non ASCII domain names, and enabling the Non-English users to use their own Websites in their own local scripts. This paper focuses on the currently used solutions, which unfortunately did not received acceptance by researchers and international organization like Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and Multilingual Internet Names Consortium (MINC). We then present the concept of Meta Domain Name System (MDNS), which we believe, enables ASCII, as well as Non-ASCII, domain names to be resolve in simple and easy way.
