In this paper, a new bigradient adaptive algorithm is proposed for blind equalization of digital communication systems. Based on principal component analysis, a fundamental result is given, which ensures that the proposed algorithm is able to estimate the source symbols when it is implemented on-line. Simulation results confirm the validity and high efficiency of the proposed algorithm.
