Abstract

Cumulative distributions of attenuation due to hydrometeors (rain, rain with snow, snow, fog) obtained at 58 GHz and 93 GHz on the same terrestrial path with the length of about 850 m are presented. Results were obtained over a 9-month period and were recalculated to a whole year period. The obtained cumulative distributions of attenuation due to all hydrometeors together as well as due to individual hydrometeors are shown. Availability performances of both the used microwave systems at 58 GHz and 93 GHz are assessed. Cumulative distributions of attenuation due to rain at both frequencies are compared with the relevant ITU-R recommendations.
